Planet Profile Mykdl'dy

Battleground Planet: Mykdl'dy
Status: Frozen World/ Magma World

Geographical Features: -Mydly'dy (pronounced Mc-dil-ty) is a unique planet in it's system. It orbits the star which acts as its sun in such a way that one side of planet always faces the sun, while the other side has never seen it. This has lead to Mydly'dy developing into a strange and environmentally didactic planet.

The side which faces the sun is nothing but barren stone and lava pools, with not a drop of moisture to be found anywhere on the entire half of the planet. There are a few giant barren islands of rock though

The other half is a frozen wasteland, with nothing but snow and ice as far as the eye can see. It is always dark, and gale force winds whip the ice and snow into a frenzy.

The border of these two environments tends to be racked by storms as hot and cold clash violently.

What possible race could survive on such a planet? What species could survive temperatures that both boil and freeze? The answer is the Necrofriggians.

Necrofriggians are tall, typically gaunt humanoid moth aliens. They exist in many parts of the galaxy, but on Mydly'dy they have built many villages and temples, where they practice a lifestyle similar to monks. As they can survive in the void of space, and their typical diet consists of eating energy given off by stars (and in fact they can consume any molten food, one having been observed drinking a vat of liquid steel), the climate of Mydly'dy doesn't bother them.  Neither will it any race that absorbs their features.

The Necrofriggians are capable of flight with their moth like wings, as well as intangibility to everything save electricity. A Necrofriggians can exhale a freezing mist that can turn a man into an icicle in seconds. Necrofriggians are typically non-violent, however if any sign of aggression is shown, or they suspect a new comer might be a threat to their lives, they will attack with ferocious skill. They also don't like being lied to. At all. While Necrofriggians have access to blasters in case of emergency, most prefer to simply freeze their enemies.

Danger Status: 4.75/5

-One half is almost a ball of fire and the other half is an ice-cube. Assuming you don't die of dehydration or hypothermia you'll probably be killed by one of the storms that pop up on the border of the two sides. If not, you may live long enough to meet some of the natives… who will likely kill you if they perceive you to be the slightest bit threatening, or if they think you're lying to them. This place is UBER Dangerous.
